As we returned to quarters from another run, the box was dropped for Addison Rd and Martin Luther King Hwy for the building fire with people trapped. After units arrived on the scene, Engine company 33 realized that no one picked up their line. Engine 372 was specialed to the scene to pick up 33's line. Once on the scene there was not a Rapid intervention crew set up, so command assigned Engine Company 37 to the R.I.C. duties. Crews operated for an hour and 30 minutes trying to get this fire under control. Once the fire was deemed under control command held Engine Company 38, Quint 22 and Squad 8 we operated for an hour and 45 minutes before returning to service.
