Just after the 3pm this afternoon units from the first and third battalion were alerted for the possible house fire in the area of 7411 Central Avenue. Engine 8 and Truck Company 37 arrived at 7315 Calder drive with a 2 story end of the row townhouse with smoke showing. The truck crew split into two teams. Inside team located fire in the basement and completed primary and secondary searches and ventilated. The exterior crew threw ground ladders and ventilated horizontally. Engine 8 got a knock on the fire and soon after held Engine 8 and Truck Company 37 to mop up. Units cleared in just over 2 hours and 30 minutes.
