CRASH ON CAPITOL BELTWAY

Just as the crew was cleaning up from lunch an accident was dispatched for the outer loop of the beltway and Ritchie Marlboro rd. with reported people trapped.  Engine 371 and Chief 37B arrived to find a collision between a semi truck and SUV.  The crew went to work assessing the scene and found that there was no one trapped, but there was one trauma patient.  Once a transport unit arrived the crew went to work assisting the HAZMAT unit with off loading the fuel from the ruptured saddle tank.  The Engine remained on the scene for over an hour and half before returning to service.
