Truck Co.37 Runs 26 Apartment Fire

At 1857, PSC transmitted a 26 box for smoke in the apartment in the 2100 block of Brooks Drive. Initial companies arrived to find a fire in an apartment on the 5th floor. Truck Co.37 arrived and took their position in the rear and operated on the floor above, checking for extension and conducting a search. The truck gained access to the rear by setting up in the rear court yard off the road. It is imperative that units, especially the ladder company get good position on side charlie to allow for aerial and more efficient ground ladder use. If rescues need to be made from balconies or windows on side charlie, having the truck company in prime position will make or break the operation.
