Engine Runs Forestville Townhouse

23 Box – 7100 Block of Cross St.* Around 7 am, Unit’s in the 1st and 3rd Battalion were alerted to the 7100 Block of Cross St. for “smoke in the house”. Engine Company 37, with 7 Volunteers was dispatched as the 2nd engine on the box. Engine Company 23 arrived on scene with a 2 story middle of the group townhome with smoke showing. 37 Engine arrived as dispatched and pulled a backup through side alpha, where the crew’s encountered high heat and zero visibility. The fire was found and extinguished in the basement of the home. As a side note, each member of the crew was/is a live in at 37.
