Around 17:45, the box was struck for 14000 block of Bowie Farm Ct. Engine company was dispatched as 3rd due engine and arrived as such. Initial units arrived on scene to find a 2 story large family dwelling with nothing evident.
After making entry, crews had a light haze throughout the house. After making access to the attic, a well advanced attic fire was found. A working fire was called as well as a task force bringing additional people. After stretching our 250 with a rack, command had the crew reposition their line to side alpha to the first floor.
Eventually the crew was redeployed again to division 2 of the structure. The engine crew worked with chief 18b on division two, helping to extinguish fire in the attic. Crews operated for nearly 4 hours before returning to service.
